What’s Going Down?! The Dive Club

What’s Going Down?!

It’s that time of the year again when the party crowd comes crashing in on  the tiny little town of Indio, CA in all their steezy glory and raises good ol’ fashioned hell… also commonly referred to as Coachella. You may have heard of it. This weekend is the first of two weekends, that’s right- double the madness, and it is guaranteed to get weird. If you’re desert bound this weekend we wish you and your liver the best of luck! And if not, there’s always next weekend to get in on the insanity.

The Deathwish Video World Premiere

Seems like every major skateboarding video released in the past couple years was heavily staged. Tons of special effects, animations and epic storylines are great and all - can’t blame an industry for trying to reinvent itself - but when it comes to babes on boards, we do like to keep things raw… ;)

image

… and if you’re standing by us on this one, you sure as hell won’t be disappointed in The (already legendary) Deathwish Video that premiered last weekend at the Orpheum Theater in DTLA.

image

Let’s be clear, can’t think of a better group of guys. Each talented fool on the Deathwish team has a strong, unique, mega charming personality that makes it almost impossible for us to pick a favorite. Except that last Saturday, the spotlight was on Jon Dickson, who killed it with the last part.

image

Minutes before the screening, a bunch of roller girls stormed on screen for Slash’s big announcement: JON DICKSON is PRO!

image

How often do you see someone get a life-changing announcement in front of your eyes?! Now that was rad.

image

Seriously, we’ll take this deck!

image

As expected on such a huge occasion - the video was 5 years in the making - things got weird and the night turned into a hell of a party. Peep The Deathwish Video trailer HERE and get in on the behind the scenes action from the madness HERE too!
