Stop It Right Now.

Cuteness? Style? Sense of humor? Check, check, and double check. Jayne, from Stop It Right Nowhas won over our hearts here at Wasteland and earned our upmost respect in the blogosphere. Check out our interview with the lovely lady below and see what she has to say about life, music, her personal style, and more.

1) Who or where do you look to for inspiration?

Real life people and street style.

2) If you could raid anyone’s closet from any era EVER, who would it be and why?

Even though it doesn’t align with my own personal style, I like the 50’s when everything was so proper. The concept of always presenting a nice image of yourself seems strangely appealing. The structure of being dressed appropriately for different situations and times of the day. So maybe anyone from that era.

3) Favorite blogs besides your own?

I’m really into cultistzine.com at the moment.

4) What’s your earliest fashion memory?

Fighting my mom to let me dress myself for D.A.R.E day in the fourth grade. I really wanted to wear yellow socks.

5) Weirdest comment you’ve ever gotten from a fan?

Things along the lines of “I want to be you” or wanting to be like me when they grow up. The internet makes everything spectacular and grandiose. I’m just a totally regular person.

6) What are three things you’d save in a fire that you can’t live without?

My family, my computer, and old photos.

7) What’s on your “recently played” list on iTunes?

Wanda Jackson, Murder City Devils, and Operation Ivy.

8) Was there ever a time in your life you should have had the “fashion police” called? If so, what were you wearing?

You mean all four years of college? After all my life being a hardcore tomboy I suddenly grew two inches, dropped weight and discovered makeup. I really experimented and embraced being a girl. Lots of stretchy things.

9) Favorite and least favorite trend right now?

I don’t like trends period. I like people who do their own thing regardless of what’s popular at the moment.

10) Tell us something about yourself that most people would be surprised to hear?

I’m really boring.

11) Why Wasteland?

Vintage + New = a one stop shop.

Purse ‘n Boots is Wasted.

Loving how cute Ashley (via Purse ‘n Boots) looks in our Show Me Your Mumu dress! 100% wasted. 100% adorbs.

Jean Greige is “Wasted”

Madeline, from Jean Greige looking so “wasted” in our UNIF collaboration tee! We love the way she paired this grunge-inspired top with a more bohemian vibe. Kinda makes you want to smash something then gently put it back together now, doesn’t it?
